ATCP Elevates the Voice of Tree Care Professionals in Georgia
The Association of Tree Care Professionals (ATCP) has taken another step forward in strengthening the voice of our industry by engaging directly with top Georgia state leaders. In a series of high-level meetings, ATCP leadership highlighted the essential role tree care companies play in disaster response and public safety, while bringing attention to the challenges our members face in navigating insurance claims and regulatory barriers.
Advancing Conversations with Insurance Commissioner John King
ATCP leadership met with Georgia Insurance Commissioner John King to spotlight the urgent issues surrounding insurance claims for tree care services—particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters, when rapid action is critical to safeguarding communities. Commissioner King and his staff were receptive, acknowledging the importance of our work and encouraging continued dialogue in the coming months. Commissioner King is seeking re-election in 2026, making these conversations especially timely.
Building Partnerships with Attorney General Chris Carr
The ATCP team also sat down with Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr to provide insight into the regulatory challenges our members face in Georgia and across the nation. Attorney General Carr expressed appreciation for ATCP’s advocacy and offered to facilitate introductions with other Attorneys General, expanding the opportunity to share our industry’s perspective on a broader scale. Notably, Attorney General Carr has recently announced his candidacy for Governor of Georgia, underscoring the significance of this relationship for the future.
Driving Change for the Industry
These meetings demonstrate ATCP’s commitment to elevating our industry’s presence at the highest levels of government. By building relationships with decision-makers, ATCP is laying the foundation for a more favorable regulatory and insurance environment—one that empowers tree care companies to operate effectively, respond swiftly in times of crisis, and continue protecting the communities we serve.
